It's great to realize that we do not really have to bother
ourselves in order to get some kind of urgent information since there are now
very easy ways of doing so. All over the world, websites keep evolving and the
internet controls all of it.
It's even
greater to realize how easy it is to contact somebody or a group of people
easily without much stress.
But now, I'm afraid that technology/the internet/social networking sites and
whatnot have reached a point where human beings are opposed to reality. Because
now, people do not even take whatever that isn't on the internet seriously
anymore. People have lost their lives to the internet and keep pretending that
their lives are not owned by the internet. Most people have even created a life
on the internet. They now seem to appear much more important on the internet
than they really are. The internet right now is a huge facade- people
pretending to have perfect lives built in haven. Nonsense. Worst part right now
is, everyone wants to be a partaker of a seemingly 'perfect' internet life.
Other people even see this and get envious-- envious of a facade internet life,
a reflection of a false and untrue life.
Usually, people do call to check up on you, people call to have a proper conversation, etc. But when was the last time you had somebody call you not because they needed anything but just to simply check up on you? Nah, people don't do that anymore. At least we could always just ping them or something and have the usual cliché conversation, yeah? Yeah, ofcourse.
One time Einstein said: "I fear the day that technology
will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots."
I'm afraid it seems he's right. Look guys, all I'm saying is we should know
better about the internet. We shouldn't be enslaved by it. It was designed to
move us forward, to help solve issues, problems and whatnot.. Call that person
you miss, say hello to the one you know needs you, quit putting all your
problems on the internet, quit being who are not and start making a difference
on the internet and not 'pretending to appear more important than you really
are'.

Totally right Ope, I couldn't agree more. It's all virtual. To a reader, if you REALLY want REAL people to celebrate with you, share REAL emotions with you and REALLY be present at your funeral ceremony, then you have to begin living a REAL life bro. Or else, when you die, all you'll REALLY have is an inbox full of messages from people that couldn't make it. It's not too late to make a change friends #OneNigeria #OneLove.
